This is a quick beginner’s guide for those that would like to start with mining and came across minerstat.

Minerstat is a mining monitoring and management software and while it is mostly intended for those that are managing a larger number of rigs, it can also be used by complete beginners that are ready to learn about the world of mining. The main benefit of using minerstat with a small rig or just one GPU is having all mining clients at the tip of your finger. You can quickly switch between different mining combinations and optimize your rig on the go - remotely from the web dashboard.

🔎 What do you need to start mining?

  1. ETH (or RVN) wallet address: If you didn’t create your ETH wallet, you can find wallet providers here. ETH wallet address should start with 0x. If you don’t have 5GB or more VRAM on your GPU, then you might need some other wallet, for example, RVN.
  2. Software: You can download minerstat for Windows here. If you are more adventurous and want to mine with our dedicated mining OS, you can download it here.

🚫 What is not supported?

  • Mining on laptops;
  • CPU-only mining (but we do support GPU+CPU mining);
  • Mixed AMD and Nvidia rigs/computers.
  • Mining different coins with different GPU mining clients at the same time.

⏩ I’m ready. Let’s start.

Use your access key and worker’s name to identify on the software and your worker will soon be online and mining.

  • Phoenix: Good for both AMD rigs and Nvidia rigs.
  • T-Rex: Good for Nvidia rigs - especially 3000 series.
  • TeamRedMiner: Good for AMD rigs.

Click on the [Simple] tab and click like shown on the image:

[Save changes] and you are mining. 🚀 Unless you are using cards with 4GB or lower VRAM. Then you will need to read the second part - Mining RVN.

💡 Note: You can use any other pool. However, for those that mine with 1 rig, Ethermine is a good pool, and it is easy to start.
