We have published numerous posts on the mining calculator, how to use it, what to be careful about, how to read data, etc. Since we have renewed it and extended its functionalities, here is a brief overview of it once again.
Datasets organization
In the new layout, the datasets are at the top of the page, organized in tabs with hardware tiles at the bottom.
Dataset tabs
There is one tab available for users that aren’t registered on minerstat and unlimited tabs for those that are minerstat registered users. When adding a new tab, you can name it as you want and fill it with different hardware tiles.
Hardware tiles
Under tabs, you can find hardware tiles. You can add as many hardware tiles as you want to your dataset tab.
When adding a new tile, there are four options to choose from: Nvidia, AMD, ASIC, and Custom. For Nvidia, AMD, and ASIC, you can choose between models, and hashrate and power consumption information will be filled as provided through our database, while in the Custom option you can enter hashrate and power consumption for any algorithm you like (by editing the hardware tile). You can also add a custom short description for each hardware tile.
For each hardware tile you can also make the following adjustments:
- Update the number of units: This will multiply the hashrate and power consumption of each algorithm with an entered number.
- Edit: You can change the short description and update the algorithm’s hashrate and power consumption values.
- Duplicate: Duplicate the hardware and custom entered hashrate and power consumption values.
- Delete: Remove hardware tile from the dataset.
Filters and settings
Filters are now on the right side of the results and were divided into two sections: filters and settings.
Filters
Filters update on the go and you can enable/disable them if you want to see options with alerts, coins, multi-algo pools, marketplaces, PPS pools, or PPLNS pools.
Settings
Settings update by pressing the [Save settings] button and you can update the currency you want to use, electricity costs, power offset that you want to add to the reporting, and the type of reward calculation that you want to use.
