We have made several improvements to our Stratu.ms service in the last weeks. On the stratum’s profile, you can now see the worker name that is sent by the machine and the worker name will be sent to the pool. This way, you can quickly see if the stratum is misconfigured or why the pool isn’t accepting the hashrate. To further improve the stratum setup, we have introduced a pool checker tool that will help you see if the shares will be accepted by the pool or not.
How to use Pool checker
You can find a pool checker on your stratum’s profile or by directly visiting the pool checker page.
- Algorithm: Select the algorithm on which you deployed your stratum, for example, “Ethash”.
- Region: Select the region on which you deployed your stratum, for example, “UK, London”.
- Pool address: Enter the pool’s address with the port number, for example, “eu1.ethermine.org:4444”.
- User: Enter your wallet address and worker name in a way you want to use it on the pool, for example, “0xA59B29d7dbC9794d1e7f45123C48b2b8d0a34636.MYWORKER”.
- Password: Enter your password, for example, “x”.
- Run the test.
The test usually takes up to 30 seconds and once it is finished, you will be able to see the response the pool returns for your settings.
Example response
If the pool will accept your configuration, you will see the following response: Success: The pool accepts your data.
There will be additional information available, such as:
- Auth: TRUE
- Mining.subscribe: FALSE
- Difficulty: UNKNOWN
- Job: FALSE
- XNSUB: FALSE
