By offering our coins API to the public, we have opened enormous possibilities on how developers, miners, and researchers can use the mining data of hundreds of different coins and multi pools. For example, we have created a simple mining calculator bot, which can be used on Discord, Telegram, and Slack and will tell you how much you might earn with certain hashrate.

We are now introducing another useful way of using our API - mining calculator widgets. For start, we are introducing the widget with coins data, but we are planning to extend it to other useful data.

About widgets

Widgets are simple interactive blocks of content that you can use on websites or blogs to show your visitors relevant data. Minerstat’s widgets are small mining calculators that are free and fully customizable in color and width.

The widget can be generated through the following steps.

  1. Coin: Select a coin or multipool that you want to show in the widget.
  2. Extra info: Hide or show extra information, such as network hashrate, difficulty, block reward, and price. Multipools don’t have the extra information to show.
  3. Theme: Select the light or dark color theme of your widget. If you are using a light background on your website, we recommend using the light theme. If you are using medium-dark and darker backgrounds (of any color) on your website, then we recommend using the dark theme. The dark theme uses a transparent background, so it is not suitable for a background that is lighter.
  4. Main color: By entering a custom main color in HEX format, the coin’s name, daily estimated coins, and daily estimated earnings will be colored with this color. We suggest matching the colors used on the coin’s icon.
  5. Widget width: You can set up a fixed widget width in pixels or leave it empty to use 100% width of the parent element.
  6. Hashrate unit: When changing the coin, we will suggest a hashrate unit, but you can change it if you want.
  7. Initial hashrate: Enter the initial hashrate that you want to use on first load the widget. The visitors of your website will be able to enter custom hashrate to the widget and estimated coins and earnings will be recalculated.

Once you have set your parameters, you can copy the generated code or click on the button [Copy code].

Place the code on your website and widget will be loaded to that part of your website or blog. If you need any help, you can also step in touch with us and we can help you with instructions.

Generate your widget here and happy mining!
