It is still unclear how a post covid-19 world will look like. Well, one thing that seems to be clear health and hygiene would be the topmost priority everywhere. Sanitization and social distancing can become mandatory. One result of this would increase online shopping. But, what about the local shopkeepers and advantages of a store in close proximity?

Vendo is network of vending machines with barcodes that can be scanned on a mobile phone to make a purchase with any contact with the machine. Let’s look into Ishima’s story for some more clarity:

Ishima is a web developer working her dream job at Daksh Corp. she is very cautious about her hygiene and always wears a fresh mask and sanitized her hands time to time. One day she left for work and to keep the tissues in. It was too late to head back so she went to the vending machine set up by Vikram, the shopkeeper by the metro station. She scans the code on the machine and looks at the products in the machine on the Vendo app. After selecting her favorite pack she paid for it online. After picking up the purchase she was back on her way.

Using methods like Vendo would drastically reduce the risk of germ transfer and also help out our local shopkeepers. Ther is no nee to purchase expensive machine, older machine can be very easily modified for this purpose and can be set up in various places. The main main of this project is to make post covid life easier.
