When I think of you, I think back to high school graduation and how bittersweet the moment was. You brought us all together one last time to reminisce about the good, the bad, and the ugly. A pocket-sized moment in time that leads to, hopefully, brighter futures, whatever that means to the individual.

When I think of you, I see a bowling alley full of speedy kids wearing birthday hats and shoving greasy pizza in their mouths. I witness parents wrangling the children around the table to sing happy birthday. Smoke from the candles wisps away the wishes into the unknown, but the party continues without hesitance. The festivity lives in a scrapbook for future generations to experience.

You make the world easier to live in, even for just a moment. You manifest as a new chapter in someone’s life, a birthday party, a graduation, or a housewarming gift, and you do it unconditionally.

Thank you from a girl who loves the small things in life.
