What is the Trilium Think Tank?

Mission Control is holding its first Think Tank Challenge. All players of Alien Worlds will be able to participate and be as creative as they can in coming up with new ideas that could benefit Alien Worlds in any way they can think of. Anything that helps the Alien Worlds Metaverse become better in a long-term perspective. It could be a new game idea, a helpful tool for the community, or maybe a simple add-on feature for Mission Control. All ideas are accepted! Prizes will be awarded in two categories: one based on voting by the Mission Control Community, and another determined by the evaluation of the Mission Control team.

Are there rewards?

The total rewards for this competition are:

200,000 TLM
1,000,000 MC Points

If other planets or players want to add rewards by their own criteria they will be able to do so as this will be hosted through the Mission Control crowdfunding platform.

How to enter?

Players can start fleshing out their detailed ideas right away. Starting on Dec. 20th, 19:00 UTC (ideas submitted before that are disqualified), participants can publish their ideas and submit them on the Mission Control website. For this, participants will use the “Crowdfunding” page and submit campaigns (Mission Control membership not required). Each campaign must use the title “ThinkTank — <idea>” and must have a TLM request of exactly 5,000 TLM. Submissions end on Jan. 15th, 19:00 UTC (ideas submitted after that are disqualified). Players can submit any number of ideas. However: spam and abuse will not be tolerated.

How are the winners chosen?

There will be two award categories:

Community Reward Category:
It is up to the participants to get the community behind their idea and to upvote it. For this event, downvotes do NOT matter, we will only count the total upvotes for each campaign. The voting snapshot will be taken on Jan. 15th, 19:00 UTC. Votes after that will not count. The 20 campaigns with the most upvotes at this time will receive 5,000 TLM each!

Please also read the general idea guidelines below before submitting your ideas.

Team Favorites:
The Mission Control Team will select their favorites until Jan. 20th. The team will evaluate the ideas and reward them with a total prize pool of 100,000 TLM and 1,000,000 MC Points.

The MC Team reserves the right to exclude participants for system abuse and other reasons in both categories. Please also refer to the special guidelines posted below to be eligible for the “Team Favorites” category.

General Idea Guidelines

Proposal must include these sections in the campaign to be eligible for community awards.

  • Overview
  • Objective
  • Description
  • Exactly 5k TLM requested
  • Wallet for payment
  • Exactly 30 days duration
  • Must be an original idea

Special Guidelines for Team Favorites

Things we are looking for include use of Alien World NFTs, lore, and tokens. It could be a new way to use any of them. Or a create minigame that could be added on to Mission Control or Alien Worlds or anywhere else. Or any other original idea that helps Alien Worlds thrive. Ideas that bring in new members and can expand the enjoyment of the game or make Alien Worlds more social and cooperative instead of combative are always appreciated.

Things to consider

  • Respecting the ToS of Alien Worlds, the DAO rules and basically all legal rules of all countries worldwide is recommended… While it is impossible to know the law of all countries, we ask to use common sense and familiarize yourself with the rules set by Alien Worlds: DAO Council Policy, Terms and Conditions
  • In most cases it will help to have more detailed ideas. “Create a game” will not stand a chance against “Create a game with details about the game”. That is what the preparation time is for. Use it wisely to work out your ideas!
  • Warning: all campaigns are visible for everyone on the blockchain and basically everyone could use the posted ideas. Do not post something if you don’t agree that others might take the idea and build it.
  • This challenge is for ideas only. This has no implication on whether any of them get implemented. Although we advise anyone who wants to implement any of the ideas to get in touch with the respective participant!
