Store Of The Week: SWAGGER DAO
This week we feature SWAGGER DAO, a fashion network pushing the boundaries within blockchain technology by connecting physical products with NFTs. Their goal? Bringing an entire community together through swag, culture and fashion.
SWAGGER DAO is creating the best apparel and merchandise collections in the crypto space (and yes, there’s some Mintbase merch on there too so go get your swag ON). Their first challenge? Develop and set up the NEAR swag store, making products that the entire community — teams, contributors, guild members and fans of NEAR — would die to show off everywhere they go.
The idea is to develop processes for swag to autogenerate, through the creation of designs together with various projects and guilds within the community and the sourcing of quality products with an automatized supply chain.
SWAGGER DAO envisions NFTs being physically integrated into physical products via QR codes, linking directly to the individual smart contract, enabling a whole new world of opportunities within fashion and retail.
Brands can, for example, extend the lifetime of a product by bundling the physical piece with on-chain digital assets such as proof-of-authentication NFT, a digital wearable or sustainability information.
Besides their online store on Mintbase and their website, they also had a booth at NEARCON, where you could purchase swag with NEAR. In the VR exhibition downstairs, a QR code also linked you to the store, so you could purchase your NFT, and then collect the real item.
