DFAME has launched token protected pages which allows any creator to token gate any content on the web. For some platforms, we’ve even taken the extra step — the original content URL is completely hidden and creators can not only token gate it, they can share it with only their most loyal and trusted superfans.
Why Token Protected Pages?
As a creator, you can now make any content exclusive to fans who buy and hold your ERC-20 token. Are you a creator with a personal token looking for a reason people should buy it? Well, just throw a link to your grade-A, exclusive content into TPP, set a price, and now only your most loyal supporters can access it by buying your token. Continue growing your community and token holders doing what you love, where you love to do it, without dealing with the technical stuff.
Don’t have a personal token? No problem! We welcome ETH maxis, LINK Marines, XRP veterans, Hexicans, or whatever ERC-20 crypto flavor you prefer to token gate your content just the same.
Token gating currently works with most of the top platforms including: Youtube, Vimeo, Spotify, SoundCloud, Twitch, Ghost, Medium, Calendly, Zoom, TikTok, Instagram, Dropbox, Google Drive, Notion.so and Github.
Here’s how it works:
- Create the content on any of the major web2 platforms. For a full list, check here at this link.
- Copy the link of the content. We encourage you to use a private link so that users cannot find the content on your public profile on the platform.
- Go to beta.dfame.app, input the link to the content, select the ERC-20 token that you would like to use, and the number of tokens users must hold to access.
4. You will be given a DFAME link that is now token gated. You can share the link anywhere! As long as your fans hold the number of tokens you specified, they will be able to access the content.
