In our latest release, we introduce Push Notifications, the first Community Guidelines, and an improved onboarding experience.
One of our most requested features just dropped: push notifications! We’re rolling this out in a way that won’t blow up your phone but will remind you about the most important notifications so you don’t miss anything.

[NEW] Push Notifications Are Here 📲
Push notifications are here with you in mind. To that end, we won’t make any push notifications turned on by default; they’re all optional so you can choose which reminders you want to receive. You can control these under Settings > Manage Notifications. Here are the new options:
- Daily Roundup — a daily reminder to let you know about unseen activity in the app. This will only appear if you haven’t been active for more than a day.
- Meeting Reminders — we already send meeting invites via email (or your integrated Google Calendar), so it’s totally fine if you want to keep your reminders that way. This is just another option if you’d prefer to have Mintor remind you 15 minutes before your next meeting starts so you don’t miss any meetings.
- Weekly Availability Reminder — just a simple once-per-week reminder for you to update your availability settings in Mintor, so folks don’t book meetings when you’re busy.
- Invite notifications — get notified when one of your referred friends joins Mintor so you can welcome them to the community!
[NEW] Community Guidelines 🤝
Mintor is a community for entrepreneurs to meet and was designed to be a space for authentic conversation and expression. To keep things that way, we’re releasing some Community Guidelines. This will help to better define what that means, and what we’re expecting from members of the community. If you ever have an unpleasant interaction and think another member may be violating these guidelines, help us foster an environment of accountability by reporting the incident using our Report a Member form.
[Improved] Onboarding Guidance 👋
We’ve added some new guiding pop-ups for new members joining the app to let them know when they’re making progress. These new pop-ups will also allow members to opt into push notifications they’d like to receive from Mintor.
Bug Fixes:
Fixed: The “Add to Calendar” option is now removed from meetings that have already happened.
Fixed: Some previous issues with navigation between views.
Fixed: Confirmation is now provided when disconnecting a Google Calendar from Settings.
Fixed: Some form/document views were not very responsive. We’re now using a new technique to open them that fixes this.
