First of all, thanks for being a of part in this weird/confusing period we’ve passed called 2016. We still have a lot coming, still a lot to be confused by, but don’t let that bog you down. We’re still sticking to our promise of delivering writings and working with some of the best writers on Medium.

Right now we have pieces that deserve a bit of your time. There’s so much to these writings, how they conjure experiences as documented in their many forms.

There’s some amazing poetry, works of fiction, prose, or pieces just treading the intricate landscape of writing. The real question is, is your body ready for them?

Without wasting time…

Sushi Stop — By Alexandro Chen

If you’ve read Cuddle Cafe, it’s easier to find Sushi Stop just as interesting — if not better. This short captured the digital hearts of seventy-seven people and it may capture your heart as well — granted you don’t have it locked in a safe, with Rudy Gilliani wrangling the keys. (hint: bad idea)

In Pursuit Of — By Lucy Zhou

The pursuit here says pay attention. Every sentence tampers to the beat as you unfurl this mysterious tale. It’s an interesting account of a character chasing a mysterious figure interested in wearing white tees (even in the cold!). You might have to keep checking over your shoulder after reading this one.

Bittersweet —By Heath Houston

If you’re ever encountered any one of Heath’s writings, you won’t need an introduction for this one. Spoiler alert: it’s great. In a few words, this piece was able to speak on its own and gain sentience along the way, figuratively.

The Sky Is On Fire — By Kristofer Mc Cormack

Poetry as an expressive form of art is great. But there’s something to it that’s hard to explain. Most of the beauty lies here. Time and again Kristofer finds that spot and with The Sky Is On Fire, it’s easy to see why.

The Observation of Brevity — By Markus Russin

Sometimes it takes more than one piece to put across the picture you envision. This is helped by stringing together pieces in a connected series — like many other forms of creative works, like television series, or Netflix series. Markus starts off with a piece called The Observation of Brevity. Along the way, you’d find there’s more to their connection.

Just Another Dead-End Night In The Land Of Yuppies — By Davy Carren

Mind getting lost in some contemplative writing? I know you do — and we have something to do just that. Follow three friends passing time in the city, seeing the world falling in it’s many complex forms. There’s many reasons to ruminate over this piece for an infinite number of times. You’d have to do it this one time to get started.

Screw-You and Marley — By Eric Beversluis

Eric has gifted us with many pieces. So much we want to have them all listed here. But for the sake of brevity, Screw-You and Marley is an interesting read that’ll have you bathing in each line. The two characters here have distinct and interesting traits. And yes, Marley is for Bob Marley.

Check out more pieces in an upcoming post. There’s still so much to be read, and we’ve only started the showcase — also, new writers.
