Backwards Law: Want More? Stop Caring
The harder you try, the less you achieve!
Success is not always about hard work, extreme discipline, and full commitment. Even though that’s what we are told our whole life.
Sure, hard effort is sometimes necessary.
And in certain cases, it’s true — no pain no gain. Like in sports.
But why do we assume that this applies to everything in life?
Is this what we observe?
Not really. I’ll prove this with 5 examples.
1. Trying to get attention.
If you wanted someone’s attention, and for whatever reason you didn’t get it — but you really wanted it. Would you become an obsessive stalker, being pushy and needy, desperately trying to convince them to give you their attention?
I hope you said no! If you didn’t, it’s never too late to change.
Anyway, even if you did do that, it would have exactly the opposite effect! The more you would try, the worse it would get. So much effort, for nothing!
