Day 43: Thanksgiving
Wednesday, April 12, 2017
Reflection
As we approach Good Friday, that great and terrible day, we do so in a posture of humble thanksgiving. CHRIST the KING has become one of us. HE has shown HIS obedience to the FATHER even to the point of death. HE has suffered and died. HE has conquered. The author of the book of Hebrews tell us to “Look to JESUS, the AUTHOR and FINISHER of our faith. For it was the joy set before HIM that HE endured the cross and despised the shame and is even now sitting at the right hand of the throne of GOD.”
Participation
May we today meditate upon our crucified KING, and as we do so may we be filled with a gratitude that is unparalleled. May we remember that by HIS stripes we are forever healed.
For Families:
LISTEN: “It’s About the Cross”
(Parents, this is a Christmas song but it gives a great opportunity to talk about why we celebrate Christmas- because there wouldn’t be Easter if there wasn’t Christmas- and to draw a connection between these two events for your children.)
