A New Dashboard for Slack Workflows
And a new multiperson direct message (MPDM) step
It’s really convenient and sometimes darn delightful to handle simple workflows right inside of Slack. Whether it’s requesting help from IT, seeking vacation approval, on-boarding a new teammate or raising the bat signal — yes, that’s an honest to goodness real example — getting work done inside of Slack always feels like a win.
However 🤔, as a process owner it can be challenging to keep tabs on it all!
- Are any requests stalled?
- How many do we receive?
- How long do they take to complete?
- What takes the most time?
The New Mission Dashboard
Today I’m pleased to announce that we’re taking our first steps to helping you answer these questions with the new Mission Dashboard.
Each Mission now comes with a dashboard that shows the last 30 days of activity. Below the handy charts is a table of in-progress Missions including the current step(s) with deep links directly to the corresponding Slack message.
And of course, you can page through the completed or cancelled Missions and drill into the details of any particular instance of a Mission. This is the first step in providing unprecedented insights into your Slack workflows. Let us know what questions you need answered!
And in other news…
Create MPDMs (Multiperson Direct Messages)
Three’s a crowd and sometimes a crowd is just what you need. For those times, create a MPDM with up to 7 people using this new step type. You’ll be able to assign steps to this conversation just like any other channel.
