Five things you need to know about Mistplay Status

A few months ago, we shared the first look at Mistplay Status, an exciting new feature that lets you gain benefits based on in-game purchases. This update is slowly being rolled out across our user base, and if you don’t have access to it yet, you will in the near future. Now, we’re back with five essential pieces of information that will help you make the most of Mistplay Status!

1. What are Loyalty Gems?

Loyalty Gems, or Gems, are a new currency available to users who have Mistplay Status. You can earn Gems by making in-app purchases in a game that has Loyalty Gems enabled. You can tell which games have Gems available by taking a look at the Game Details page. If a game allows you to earn Gems, you’ll see a note here telling you how many Gems you’ll earn for every in-game purchase.

You can also view all of the games that will allow you to earn Gems through your Mistplay Status Activity. To access this page, just visit your bonus tab and press the Mistplay Status section (assuming that Mistplay Status is available to you). Then, press Loyalty Games to see a complete list of games that will allow you to earn Gems through in-game purchases.

Loyalty Gems are important because the amount of Gems you earn each month determines your Mistplay Status level and the benefits you’ll receive. You can also spend your Gems in the new Shop (we’ll explain more about that below)!

2. How do I level up?

If you earn enough Gems in a month, you’ll increase your Mistplay Status level. When you level up, you’ll get a notification telling you about all of the cool benefits you’ve received with your new status. These benefits will be active for both the current month and the next month, so if you reach Platinum Status halfway through November, you’ll be able to enjoy those benefits for the rest of November and for all of December.

3. What benefits come with each level?

Here’s an overview of the benefits you’ll enjoy for each level once you have Mistplay Status enabled:

Bronze: Everyone starts out at this level and can move up from here. This level lets you unlock Loyalty Gems and start earning them from in-game purchases.

Silver: At this level, you’ll earn 1.1X more units on game level ups and from your daily play bonus. When you complete all the criteria to participate in a contest, you’ll earn an extra 25 units! You’ll also get a special silver frame around your avatar.

Gold: At this level, not only will you earn 1.1X more units on game level ups and daily play bonuses; you’ll also earn 1.1X on Loyalty Gems whenever you make an in-game purchase. When you complete all of the criteria to participate in a contest, you’ll earn an extra 50 units — and you’ll also get a special gold frame around your avatar.

Platinum: At the coveted Platinum level, you’ll earn 1.25X more units in a ton of places, including game level ups, Daily Play bonus, and completing badges. You’ll also earn 1.25X the Gems whenever you make an in-game purchase. When you complete all of the criteria to participate in a contest, you’ll earn a whopping 75 units! And of course, you’ll get to jazz up your avatar with a special Platinum frame.

4. What’s the Gems Shop?

In this new shop, you’ll be able to use your Loyalty Gems to purchase exclusive rewards, such as units. Remember, your Mistplay Status level is determined by how many Gems you earn in a month, so even if you spend all of your Gems, you won’t lose your status level! You can see your earning and spending in your Unit/Gems Ledger, which can be accessed through the top bar. Just click on the unit symbol in the top bar to see your Unit and Gem activity.

5. How do I keep track of my status?

You can see your Mistplay Status at a glance by looking at the top left corner of Mistplay. The icon in this corner will change depending on your status level. Tapping on this image opens a dropdown which will give you more details about the benefits you can enjoy with your current status, as well as how many more Gems you have left to earn before you can level up.
