Sexist and Hypocrites

So now media and some “busy” people have another matter to chew for a while. Yes, Chris Gayle has been tagged as “sexist” just because he was flirting with a journo — Mel McLaughlin — while he was at work it seems. There were some extreme harsh remarks on him which provoked me to watch the video. I post it here for you reference.

And guess what? Seriously I did not find anything wrong with what he said. Not only me. People who know Master Storm and his attitude will not find anything wrong.

OK. For argument sake even if we consider it as “Not-funny” thing, there is no reason for us to be furious about this as if he has flirted with your own girl friend. If the journo doesn’t like, she’ll file a complaint and respective officials will take care of this matter.

But, what if the girl had said OK for a date with him? What we all would have done in that case? Isn’t it completely their wish? Why do we have to poke our nose in every single matter? Just to show that we are genius?

And as a matter of fact this is not the first time it happened. Do you even know that the tennis star Maria Sharapova has flirted with a journo and you can watch it in the video below. Now how come it did not become a big issue like this? Just because it was “she” flirted “him” and not the other way? Or was it probably because journos like only tennis star or what? What am i missing here?

And FYI. Most of the Cricket lovers who criticize Chris Gayle today are the ones who once described the spectator and Zaheer Khan’s “on-field romance” as CUTE. Again I don’t understand how different is this from the above two incidents. Selective sanctimony?

It has become a trend now for us to criticize everything that’s happening around. We are falling in to the trap of media’s ploy. We are acting just like how media wants us to.

It’s time for us to use our brains I guess. PHEW!!!
