In October, MIT hosted its annual Undergraduate Research Technology Conference in which undergraduates from around the world came to MIT’s campus to present and discuss solutions to help advance technology.

This year, there were 8 focus technical tracks: AI and Machine Learning, Computer Systems, Security and Communications, Mathematics and Theoretical Computer Science, Human Computer Interactions and Graphics, BioEECS and Applied Physics, Robotics and Controls, and lastly the group of Circuits, Materials, and Nanotechnology.

Over the course of three days, students attended 5 keynotes and 16 lightning talks in addition to there being 67 papers, and 59 posters! To help reduce the obstacles stopping students from attending the event, over 40 students were hosted here at MIT.

The event was not exclusive to undergraduates however, as younger children were able to come and see cool experiments, like this one with liquid nitrogen!

In the end, the IEEE MIT URTC was sensational and filled with incredible insights, tremendous talks, phenomenal presentations, and of course, remarkable research!
