Greetings! My name is Bohdan, I am a founder and architect of the project. Welcome to the Mithraeum: Bronze Age test series!
Our product leads us. Therefore, we have been building in stealth mode since inception, and only a rare few crypto enthusiasts knew what we were creating. But now, it is time to announce ourselves and the meta-world we have forged.
We are a team of highly motivated enthusiasts who come from different fields of activity but united by the promises of blockchain. When I compiled my first smart contract in 2017, I quite literally tumbled down the rabbit hole, impressed by the limitless opportunities of this technology. I grew up addicted to video games instead of school, so I recognized the power blockchain could have on this sector of mine and other people’s lives.
Video games are clearly reality reflections with an opportunity to live an alternative life, become who you are unable to be in real life. In my opinion, the value of games is not only in entertainment. Games bring us an opportunity to receive alternative experiences, which can lead to new knowledge.
Blockchain tech is still trying to establish its place in the real world: as a genuine part of the economy, within the corridors of power, and through the relationships people have with each other. The evolution of blockchain primitives for the real world is just beginning. That process is slower than we would like. There is still a formidable barrier between Wall Street and the decentralized finance(DeFi) section. An infinite abyss separates DAO and Corporations. A path into reality remains long and thorny.
However, this technology slowly creeps towards the virtual environment step by step. We live in the digital era where the barriers between the real world and the virtual world erode on a daily basis. Virtual assets have value, and through the instantiation of NFTs and other primitives that facilitate open economies and play2earn mechanics, these activities start to have real world impacts. The alternative finance sector was invented, known today as DeFi. The metaverse is forming. Virtual worlds and reality move towards each other, and one intersection where they collide is within games.
Returning to blockchain adoption, according to our vision, crypto games with well-built simulation mechanics and well-built incentives can provide an extremely effective showcase of blockchain technology opportunities. Making a big step for the evolutionary development of blockchain primitives, that can have impact in the real world. We believe it is now time for blockchain to take its place within the complex real-world of socio-economic relations. By creating a virtual one and implementing new blockchain primitives, to be tested by trial and error.
That is what we are creating — a virtual world that feeds into the ecosystem of blockchain. Yeah, it looks like another game, but under the hood of fun mechanics, play2earn and game communities is another level built with a new power structure, based not on trust and personal contacts but on lines of codes in the form of smart contracts. The strategy game genre was chosen on purpose, as long as strategy players know about the system of agreements, unions, and pacts from personal experience, then they know how to use it to achieve their own goals. Our goal is to make it possible for players to dive into something similar to the prehistoric period, a world without any laws and rules, standing in status Bellum omnium contra omnes (The war of all against all), where a player evolves to survive, looking for more reliable forms of cooperation with other players. As this process continues, we will see the creation of complete meta-states, analogous to and prototypes of states of the future in the real world.
