Here we go to the next level with MIXONIUM and Media Mastery. Apple just released iMovie 3.0 for iOS and it’s a turbo-boost for the production of activated videos on mobile devices. That means that on an iPad or iPhone, users can make interesting videos en-masse, and then upload those right into a MIX for Ultra Media Sharing.

Power Media Platform with MIXONIUM

The main new features for iMovie include a “Storyboard” kit for assist with making compelling videos, and a “Magic Movie” tool that engages machine learning to help auto-cut clips and photos into a great montage.

And here’s the cool part — once a nice mobile media video is produced, you can share out to the iOS Photos app, or to a file, and then you can drop that media element into a MIX. And in the MIX you can add stills, a selfie for context, explainer documents, links, maps, and thusly complete the story. That’s the power of Ultra Media for content creators, merchants, trainers, message managers, and overall media mavens.

To take a quick look at the new iMovie for 2022, first, we can see that the “Storyboard” concept for Apple is essentially the same as a “Theme” in Pages or Keynote. Except instead of a set of static layouts for slides or pages in a document, it sets up a general sequence for various types of popular social media videos. You can see “About Me,” or “DIY,” or even a structured “How it Works” type sequence. There are lots of the templates, and they mainly help in the busy moment of making a video to keep things from going too far into the weeds.

This set of templates is also helpful in jogging the ideas loose in a practical sequencing way so the resulting video is easily understandable by an audience. As an aside, these storyboard templates give us an idea of what type of videos Apple sees a lot of in social media and on streaming platforms like YouTube. Here are a few more:

The second feature is “Magic Movie,” which is ideal for quick assembly of photo stills and video clips into a montage. In this module, there are some animated graphics and helper tools for enhancing a sequence.

One feature is an array of simple overlays called “Stickers” that have become so popular in social media for quick gags and annotations to video on a phone. These features work on all iOS devices — iPad, iPhone, and just needs a recent version of the app and operating system to work.

The key is ease of use and speed — two central attributes of MIXONIUM, so the pipeline that results for making a MIX is super ideal. Here’s our video explainer on YouTube:

Give it a try, and share a MIX with a demonstration of your video chops — everyone benefits from well-made media, including you and the audience-consumers!
