Cody Garbrandt vs. Deiveson Figueiredo Announced for UFC 300

An exciting match-up has been announced for UFC’s historic UFC 300 event, which will take place on April 13th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Former bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt will be taking on the former flyweight champ Deiveson Figueiredo. Both fighters are coming off dominant victories in the bantamweight division which they both currently compete in.

Figueiredo defeated Rob Font by unanimous decision on December 2nd, while Garbrandt recently won by knockout against Brian Kelleher on December 16th at UFC 296.

Now the two former champions are set to face off against one another in a rivalry that both men have been anticipating for years. They were both set to compete against one another at UFC 255 for the flyweight championship in 2020. However, the bout fell through after it was revealed that Garbrandt had contracted COVID-19, as well as suffering other injuries and illnesses.
