LORD DOTTE — AUTUMN’S DECAY http://www.mnswr.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/MONO-1-800x534.jpg
Taking inspirations from the changing colours and forms of foliage each year as we welcome the change in season and channelling the feel of transition, the Autumn Winter 2016 collection by Lord Dotte seeks to provide wearable silk accessories to enhance and compliment any winter wardrobe.
Continuing in the brand’s traditions of exploring and developing innovative prints, this season their approach was to go subtle in both the prints and their colours in relation to the base colours of the accessories while maintaining its style and edge. With patterns derived from the study of the vein patterns of foliage as they slowly wither away to announce the arrival of autumn and colours reflecting the transitioning of same foliage, this season’s collection is also notably darker in tones and shades of colour featuring greens, reds, browns, blacks and burnt orange.
To celebrate the third full year since the first Lord Dotte collection in A/W ’13, this season the brand decided to go back to its roots and create a small but focused “core” collection of Just 9 pocket squares and 6 scarves which are further divided into 2 groups of slim & wide scarves. All the pocket squares measure 16 x 16 inches & retail for £40. The slim scarves measure 80 x 10 inches and the wide scarves 80 x 20 inches, retailing at £120 & £150 respectively.
Available online at lorddotte.com and in-store at Guards 1843, 19 Widegate Street, London E1 7HP.
