The team was invited to join AIBC summit in Dubai. Our CEO Yudi Xu was invited to join a panel discussion with Stephen M. Meade Takhmina Nasimova Josh Berger and Sofya Puzhaykina on how blockchain can contribute to sustainability and bring social benefits.

The panel discussion was well-received and raised some awareness from the audience; people reached out to propose further collaboration in the Netherlands and other places after the session.

The team also met with some of our partners like IoTex, Flovtec, etc., to discuss potential business collaborations. It leads us to new opportunities to expand our business and development team by engaging with our existing and new networks at the summit.

Product

First of all, the team has released the app (version 0.1.1, build 106) into Google Play store for most European countries. So in case you want to travel to the Netherlands and park your car, the app is ready to be used ;-) Please get in touch with us to get whitelisted.

We got some issues with Apple Appstore; due to our whitelist policy, they suggest we use TestFlight instead of publishing to the AppStore. We are still working to explain to why we do that. We will keep everyone updated, sorry for the delay for iPhone users.

Things to be improved in version 0.1.1 build 106:

  1. We found a firebase config bug that some European phone country codes are missed in the selection dropdown. The team is working on to fix it.
  2. Another bug in our backend uses an open-source library that offers RPC connection between our mobility backend and the Corda ledger. The team has decided to remove this external library and replace it with a standard RPC library to handle the communication. However, the library has some limitations and is not very stable. We have tried a few ways to reconfig it, but it didn’t improve the performance.
  3. We received feedback on the top-up bug, in which users experience a delay for the bank transaction (SEPA takes up to 5 days). Sometimes, it became a surprise to them as they forgot they had topped up before. We will be doing some user research and redesigning the user flow here to improve the user experience.
  4. There is some lagging on the front end, especially for iPhones. Google map somehow makes the animation glitchy and not very smooth during screen transfer. It is the self-report bug from our internal testing. The team is also trying their best to improve the experience.

Currently, the app only supports indoor parking in the Netherlands; we will open for on-street parking soon in our next release. Then, much more broad testing will start.

If you ever ask our developers what they think of the progress they have made. They will probably tell you that they are not happy with the current status. Due to the change of our backend developer, a very bad leaver, we had a delay last year. The team has tried its best to clean everything from the bad guy. 😤🤬

There is no excuse, so one thing for sure is that the team is on it; they didn’t give up because they believe in what MobiFi can bring to change this world. We will offer the best mobility service app on web3 for everyone.💪

Stay tuned; more updates are coming soon!
