AppIt Ventures Wins 1st Place in JumpStart Biz Plan Competition

Today is a landmark, AWESOME day at AppIt Ventures! We just won first place in the Denver Office of Economic Development’s JumpStart Biz Plan Competition. We were up against over 150 competitors, and many of them were very impressive — it was a great competition!

The grand prize included $50,000, a one year lease in an office at Galvanize 1.0, and lots of great free services including legal counsel from Polsinelli Shughart, tax and accounting by Deloitte, marketing support from dovetail solutions, social media consulting by WideFoc.us, and entrepreneurship mentoring from TiE Rockies. Thanks to all of the businesses that have contributed toward these prizes; we look forward to working with you!

We have gotten tons of support from friends, family, and the community, and we want to take this moment to thank you for that. We really appreciate the support and it means a lot to us! We also want to thank Mayor Hancock, the Denver Office of Economic Development, and all of the other sponsors of Denver Startup Week and the JumpStart Biz Plan Competition. This week has been an incredible week for entrepreneurship in Denver, and we’ve been so excited to be part of it.
