How We Scored a Pair of Google Glasses
We have some exciting news to share — our very own Brandy Anderson learned Sunday night that she has been selected as a winner in the “If I Had Glass” competition! Other noted winners include Neil Patrick Harris, Levar Burton, Newt Gingrich, Alisa Milano, Imogen Heap, Matisyahu, and Soulja Boy. Brandy will be invited to attend an exclusive event in San Francisco, Los Angeles, or New York to receive one of the first sets of Google Glass available to consumers. Not too shabby, right?
If your first thought was similar to mine, April Fools isn’t today, we couldn’t blame you — but this is for real. The “If I Had Glass” competition was a national marketing campaign rolled out by Google that asked people what they would do if they were chosen for the Glass Explorers program.
For those of you who don’t know what Google Glass is, you better prepare yourself, because this is going to blow your mind. They are glasses that can take pictures and videos, show directions, perform Google searches, translate foreign languages, and more. In short, Google Glass can do just about everything awesome that you could possibly want it to do.
