Just As A Note For The Future Me When Setting Up A New Machine
Almost five years ago, when I set up a new Mac, I documented all the essential items I installed as a reference. That list came in handy a couple of times when I had to set up a new machine again.
Now, with AI tools becoming more accessible and my increased familiarity with Homebrew, my setup process has evolved. So here’s Version II — a refreshed guide covering my current machine setup, programming environments, IDEs (with GitHub Copilot), and other tools.
I hope this will be useful for my future self — and maybe for you too.
The Machine Basic Necessity
As usual, when given a vanilla version Apple MacBook Pro M4, it came with default setting that doesn’t fit me. Hence some minor change below
