Under the leadership of Physicians for Human Rights, a team consisting of PHR, Informacam and Magpi (then known as DataDyne) was awarded 1st prize in the Tech Challenge for Atrocity Prevention. The challenge aimed to identify “new and innovative ways to enable the documentation of relevant evidence that may be used to deter or hold perpetrators accountable, while minimizing the risk posed to those collecting this information.”

The Challenge, sponsored by USAID and Humanity United, came with a $5000 prize, but far more importantly it recognized the important contributions being made by PHR, Informacam, and Magpi to meet the needs of the human rights community, and to fight against sexual violence and other human rights violations.
