Guano: The Future of Fertilizing

Bats produce the best natural fertilizer: guano. The Bat Houses at the University of Florida have been helping to grow fruits and vegetables that stock the campus’s Field And Fork Food Pantry. Ethan Kelley, the Field and Fork Farm and Gardens Coordinator, collects the guano and uses it to help grow bananas, pineapples, peppers and more to supply the food pantry.
