Part 5
Being, myself, a member of the Chill Out Web TV, I know how things work and most importantly how collaboration and sharing is built among the members. The team is not a small one neither a big one. Good moments happen as often as bad moments like a disagreement but I guess it’s part of the job.
So after having a full day with the team, watching them prepare their work for their show from scratch gave us a good picture of how they really work. After talking to some of them but also talking with people who work with them, we found our conclusions. We gathered as a team and discussed them carefully. We searched through our notes to find specifically how the team collaborates and does the team share things between them?
Collaboration. It’s what characterizes this team. If they don’t cooperate nothing is done properly. It’s their secret key to good work, nice relationships among the members and great success. Everybody told us this same thing. The truth is, being ourselves in a school team for almost 3 years now, we know how important is to collaborate and communicate with your team members in order everything to go smoothly. So we agree with you Chill Out team.
Three very important words they said to us are “honesty, open-minded, sharing”.
Sharing. It’s the second, very important thing for their team. From the day they started until now, some things are hard for them like having the right amount of equipment, finding the right equipment, gathering the money to buy stuff they need and so many other things. So sharing everything is magic to them. The truth is that. They share everything from ideas, experiences up to equipment like cameras, microphones, tablets etc. What the team really seemed to have learned is how important sharing is nowadays. Some people are not so lucky like other so you must share your stuff, especially if it’s something you use from time to time. All the team members emphasized that before this project of Chill Out Web TV, they weren’t really into sharing their stuff and sharing in general. This team and the way they work have really taught them what sharing means and how important it is.
Giving and accepting help. There are times someone else needs their help but there are a lot of times they need someone’s help outside the team. It’s so important to work hard to find the right people who can help and give your help back. This fact has appeared to be life-saving for the team. They have come across a lot of difficulties since they started like not having the right place to prepare an interview or not having the money to do something. What saved them is help that they asked from different kind of people depending on what they needed. But the secret here is giving back. Giving back your help or something the other people may need for you.
When you take, it’s very important to give back.
