Mobile Me and You Project Part 10(Photo Editing Apps) |Mobile Reputations Course| AD&PR Lab
In the context of “New Consuming Trends” a course of Panteion University, taught by Mrs Betty Tsakarestou, our team (Shooters) participated in a research project called Mobile Me and You, following the Mobile Collaborative Consumption and Sharing Economy trends.The subject of the project concerns the relationship of Millennials with their mobile phones and their impact on the society and on the market. We decided to focus our research on Photo Editing Apps Applications.
After our individual mobile me,the task was given to connect with people outside of our country to examine and learn what applications are using in their everyday life. The truth was that the mission was easier for us, because one of our members lived his Erasmus experience half year ago, so we were able to find willing people to answer our questions.
The first person we asked for her app preferences was Teodora. Teo is a 21 years old Romanian girl from Bucharest. She is very into social media because she uses a lot applications like Instagram, messenger and Facebook but she is not that addicted to her phone. She revealed us via voice message that Instagram is her favorite social media app and it is the first thing that she checks after she wakes up.
Then, she told that she does not communicate via Facebook any more because she believes that it is old fashioned and she prefers texting through messenger. Moreover, she sent us some screenshots (2 previous photos) of her phone in order to show us all the apps that she uses in her daily life. She has a special folder to put her movie and video apps and her mail takes a very significant role in her phone because she checks possible university or work notifications. Netflix is the leading app for her entertainment but she also likes YouTube especially for music videos.
Secondly, we managed to take details from a girl that spent her first 18 years of her life in china and she now studies journalism in kazakstan. Her name is anelya and she is 20 years old. Unfortunately, we could not have the information as much information as we would like . Although the difficulties we managed to take some interesting details of her smartphone life regarding the two most famous apps in china. Those are yuku and WeChat. We informed by her that WeChat is the most famous app for communication. It has the same characteristics with whats app that many people are using in Europe and America. Lastly, she mentioned that yuku is the Chinese version of YouTube with not that huge variety of videos.
