EverythingApplePro released a video side-by-side speed comparison of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the iPhone 7 Plus. This is a practical Speed Test (sans benchmarks) that runs the devices through a battery of tasks that include opening popular applications like Snapchat, some games, a cold boot up and a 4 minute video render of a 4K binary taken from each camera.

Once the initial sequence of tasks is complete, the same cycle of tests is executed again to see how the devices handle application backgrounding and memory retention. The results are not surprising.

Anyone who had seen earlier multi-core benchmark tests would certainly have expected the opposite to be the case.
