The pieces are slowly falling into place

The Associated Press has a federal lawsuit against the United States government, after repeated Freedom of Information Act requests for the cost and the origin of the iPhone hack against San Bernadino terrorist Seyed Farook.

However, Senator Diane Feinstein may have disclosed the amount the FBI paid during a Senate Judiciary Committee meeting with James Comey:

“I was so struck when San Bernardino happened and you made overtures to allow that device to be opened, and then the FBI had to spend $900,000 to hack it open,” Feinstein said. “And as I subsequently learned of some of the reason for it, there were good reasons to get into that device.”
