A Google Street View Virtual Tour.

Photo of Kiwanis park

Fall is beautiful.

I took my modified drone+360 backpack rig for its maiden trek through Kiwanis park for a trial run. It’s a great rig and cost me all of $175 for the pack, the and the monopod which mounts on the back and extends to the perfect height.

I set the Theta S for 8 second intervals and simply walked from tree to tree, and imported the photospheres into street view. From there I set the direction of each shot and then compensated for the magnetic direction according to the magnetometer.

Easy-peasy.

The Tour on Google Maps:

These can also be done indoor for businesses, so if you have a brick and mortar that you want some Virtual Tour exposure on Google Maps, just let me know.
