As a former fire controlman in the United States Navy, I have a love-hate relationship with aircraft. That is, “I love to hate aircraft.”

However, it is difficult not to love this demonstration of fire power coming from the F-35B and its GU-22 gun pod. It is nostalgically reminiscent of the 20mm Vulcan Cannon that comprised the Close-In Weapon System…my first gun. I’m not sure if the freedom that is used in this demo is tungsten or depleted uranium, but it is clearly the sound of freedom and will leave the taste of a Big Mac in your grill after you watch it.
