DigiPlex recognised as colocation industry leader by ISG

In its first Provider Lens report, ISG named Norwegian data centre provider DigiPlex a leader in the Nordic colocation market

On Thursday, DigiPlex, an Oslo-based provider of sustainable, secure and scalable data centre colocation solutions was recognised as a leader in colocation services by global technology research and advisory firm, ISG.

The company, which has been in operation since 2001, designs, builds and operates state of the art data centres in Norway, Sweden and Denmark, where the cool, moist climate of the Nordic region allows DigiPlex’s award winning Air-to-Air evaporative cooling solution to deliver natural cooling to its latest generation of data centres. DigiPlex offers best-in-class services to public and private customers alike — including security sensitive organisations such as government and financial institutions with mission-critical applications.

ISG announced that it was honouring DigiPlex as part of its first ever Provider Lens report, which explores next-gen private and hybrid cloud data centre services and solutions across the Nordic region. In this report, DigiPlex has been acknowledged as a ‘Leader’ in this fast-growing sector.

DigiPlex currently operates seven data centres across the Nordic region: one in Stockholm, one in Copenhagen, and four spread across strategic locations throughout Norway.

In May, Digiplex completed a senior secured bond issue of $63mn, set to mature in May 2023, in order to finance the construction of two additional data centres. “We are seeing increased demand from both our enterprise customers who continue to move their digital infrastructure from on-premise solutions into combinations of colocation and cloud, as well as from the largest IT companies in the world looking to capitalise on the advantages of placing their data centers in the Nordics,” commented Nesse upon the closure of the bond.
