We had a workshop to build our Engineering Department team commitment

In October 2022, we had a wonderful day with the members of the Engineering Department of Mobile Action. We’ve completed a workshop to build the team commitment that will guide us while developing the best products.

The Common Values

Picking up our most important values

We began with collecting our common values by picking from a sheet that lists some values. Everybody picked their 5 most important values and we shared them to build a common value list.

Aggregating the most common values

We’ve aggregated the values to build a most common value list by picking the ones that shared the most and have similar meanings.

Lunch between the sessions

Hot Seat Feedback

After lunch, we began a hot-seat feedback session. A member set as the target and everybody gave both positive and negative feedbacks verbally. While we were switching the target we collected the common positive feedbacks to contribute on our final list.

Building the final list

Finally, we’ve built our team commitment text by aggregating the results of two sessions. We discussed each topic and tried to build the most inclusive text that reflects our common perspective:
