Today we are proud to announce the MobileCoin Foundation, an organization dedicated to guiding development of the MobileCoin protocol and fostering the surrounding ecosystem.

Please welcome the first member of the MobileCoin Foundation: The Long Now Foundation.

The Long Now Foundation was established in 01996 to foster long-term thinking and responsibility in the framework of the next 10,000 years. Executive Director Alexander Rose had this to say about MobileCoin:

“A free and open Internet is in all of our long-term interest. Free payment systems are vital to this ecosystem.”
