As you know Android Nougat version was released to the market in August 2016. Shortly after that, the developments in the Android world continued rapidly. A year later, the final final version of the Android Oreo was released all over the world and features of the Android 8.0 update have been announced. In this article I will try to mention all the features.

The Android 8.0 Oreo presentation takes place on August 21, 2017, during a solar eclipse in New York. This case included with the fun video on Android’s website.

Android Oreo Core Features

Save power with Android Oreo

To protect users’ battery life and performance, Google has introduced automatic limitations to application background events on the Android Oreo. These include background limitations, background services, and location updates. For users, this means less energy consumption and ultimately longer battery life. At this point, with the Android Oreo, improvements have been made in battery saving, one of the biggest problems of users.

Android Oreo makes it easy to find applications that consume the most battery power. On the Android Oreo only, you can see whether applications are emptying your battery with background events or using the battery while in the app.

Project Treble

Project Treble is the biggest change to the basics of Android — theoretically a modular architecture that makes it easier for device manufacturers to offer software updates for a longer time and faster. With Project Treble you will get a supplier interface to Android Oreo. This means that Android will be more modular; at which point manufacturers can use the vendor interface to access applications from internal component vendors. This allows Android updates to be done more easily, because the whole process can be done independently of the vendor applications. The idea is to speed up the producers’ updates by making the process more streamlined.

Benefits of Project Treble

It seems to be no doubt that it will work in quick updates as it basically restructures the entire kernel of the OS. With Treble, the frame can be updated independently of the chip manufacturer’s layer. As a result, chip maker Qualcomm does not have to create a reprocessed application of lower-level software for every new version of Android.

Google Play Protect

Google Play Protect is a background service that analyzes the behavior of apps to detect malware and optimizes security on Android and removes security risk-generating apps from your phone and the Play Store.

Wi-Fi Aware

This function basically allows devices with compatible hardware to communicate via Wi-Fi Aware as soon as they are close to each other without having to use the Internet connection.

The recognition of the devices and services that have recently become popular trends will also be possible with WiFi chipsets. The WiFi chips bearing the standard will continuously scan the surroundings and try to find compatible services with an intermittent signal pulse similar to a pulse beat. When it finds a service, it will go to full capacity and warn the user.

It will be able to share content, play games or access location information with Wi-Fi Aware, which is based on point-to-point communication. Warnings may be available for nearby products and services. Compatible applications will also be able to connect to nearby services using this standard and exchange data in a basic sense. Users will be able to set privacy settings themselves.

When a device enter on shop, device worn to users via wifi-aware and users take the necessary information.

Autofill

Google introduces a system-wide AutoFill API to Android Oreo, and ensures that all your passwords are managed centrally. This is similar to making it easier and safer to log in and fill out applications as there is no need to copy / paste usernames and passwords anymore.

With Android Oreo, all mobile applications and websites that require Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and passwords will now be faster and smarter with auto-text username and password-fill functionality. Android 8.0 Oreo users will be able to surf faster on the internet with the safer and faster Autofill feature.

•Rescue Party

The Rescue Party will help you avoid bootloops, one of the biggest problems for mobile phones. When the core system components collapse, Android will notice this and take steps to recover the device. As a last resort, you will be presented with the option to restart in Recovery Mode and reset the device to factory settings. This feature will be enabled by default and will not require special hardware for phones running Android Oreo only.

Android Oreo hardware support

HDR screens are supported

HDR is an interesting feature, but little support was given by the system. Now, applications have come to be able to define how image sources can be recorded and displayed with a wide variety of colors.

Better Bluetooth support

It supports high quality Bluetooth audio and codecs such as Android Oreo, LDAC. Sony is helping Google in the development of LDAC audio wireless technology. According to the company, LDAC can transmit a larger data volume via Bluetooth via a bit rate higher than 990 kbps. In other words, this means better sound quality for devices running Android Oreo.

Android Oreo surface features

Smart Text Selection

Oreo makes copying and pasting easier and smarter on mobile devices. Using machine learning, Android will know when you’re trying to copy and paste an address, URL, or phone number, and will automatically choose everything for you instead of a single word. If the text you have selected is a phone number, the smart text selection feature gives you the option of making a quick call or saving it in the phone book. In addition, if the selected text is an address, Google Maps is shown as an alternative, allowing you to process it quickly and easily.

New round emoji

Adaptable icons

Application icons are automatically adapted to the user interface of the manufacturer. The appearance of application icons varies across the widest spectrum of Android-powered devices. Therefore, the symbol of an application may appear circular in the initiator of a device, and square in the other. With Oreo, this situation is circular.

Notification channels and points

When an application is notified with Oreo, information is displayed on top of the icon of that application and a preview of the notification appears when it is pressed. Also we can manage notifications categorized.

•New battery stats

When you switch to the battery section, there is now a large chart showing the percentage remaining and how long the phone will remain open, that is, the expected employee. You will also learn information about when the last full charge occurred and how much time you have since that time. In addition, we can learn which application uses how much percent of charge.

Widget integration is easier

Now with Oreo it’s easier to integrate widgets into your main screen. Rather than searching through the alphabetical list of widgets as in previous versions of Android, you can now long press the icon of the widget you want and then choose one of the available widgets.

Application Search

Searching with Android Oreo update is getting a new feature. Application information appears in search results for installed applications. Therefore, you can quickly access an application’s Application info menu to close the application, clear its cache, or manage its permissions.

Application Searching

•Picture-in-picture

Multi-tasking becomes even easier with the new picture-in-picture mode. Instead of showing side by side with another application in a normal multi-window mode, you can open or play a small window clearly in an open window as you can already in an application in the YouTube application. Will soon be supported by several applications, including YouTube, Netflix, Maps, Duo and many more.
