Meg Lattanzio and her husband have a love for designing and building homes — creating and evolving spaces to nurture relationships with loves ones. Located at the mouth of Gallatin Canyon, Montana the Riverfront Sanctuary in evokes a sense of peace and connection to nature. For the Summer of 2020, Meg and her family decided to rent their home though MOBLHOM to another family from Kansas City.

Meg, her husband, 8 year old daughter (sidenote: their daughter’s name is Cricket. Coolest name ever?), and their pup used property in Mcallister, Montana as their basecamp. From there, they took short summer trips in the surround areas — spending lots of quality time together in the great outdoors. While breaking their routine away from home, Meg tells us that “it warmed our hearts to know we were sharing our home with people that really appreciated it. The midterm rental opportunity was a perfect fit for us.”

Here we take a look at the MOBLHOM experience from a homeowners perspective as well as some of the unexpected benefits that come along with sharing your home with others.

How did you find MOBLHOM?

I heard about Moblhom from another local short term rental company actually. I had never heard of vacation long term rental before so I was really excited to reach out to Ashley and learn more!

“It opened my eyes to how fun and heart warming it is to see guests creating extraordinary memories and enjoying quality time together in the spaces we have created!”

Why did you decide to rent your home midterm?

My husband and I collaborate sometimes on homes as he is a builder and I am a wanna-be designer. We decided to take advantage of our unique property to be able to travel and go camping with our kiddo and pup.

What do you like about MOBLHOM?

Well, first I adore Ashley, the mastermind behind Moblhom. She is an impressive blend of laid back chic and getter done east coast. I also really love how easy it is to use the website/services from a home owner perspective. The process, communications and platforms are easy, thorough and direct.

Have you had any conscious or lifestyle shifts since renting with MOBLHOM?

Yes! We as a family learned we do way better in a camper with less cleaning, chores and stuff around us than we thought! And it opened my eyes to how fun and heart warming it is to see guests creating extraordinary memories and enjoying quality time together in the spaces we have created!

Anything else you’d like to share?

We feel really blessed and honored that our very first guests became friends [Pictured below]! We have enjoyed thoroughly our experiences with Moblhom and the wonderful people it brings together. It’s fun, adventurous and different and I think we could all use a little of that right now.

“I cannot even begin to describe our wonderful experience at the Riverfront Sanctuary. We had the incredible fortune to spend a good part of the summer of 2020 here, and it could not have been a more perfect experience.”
