State of the Network

The network has been extremely stable with the release of the 2.5–7a update, without a single chain split occurring since.

Development

The first milestone of the 2.5 update has been delivered. It consisted on a full rewrite of the synchronization module. Since its release (version 7a), the network has been stable as never before: ultra-rapid convergence, contention resolution, split-chain avoidance and rapid block and transaction propagation. We believe it is safe to say we have finally achieve the full promise of the Mochimo Random Network model as described in the white paper.

The 2.5 beta will be moving toward multi-destination transaction testing soon.

New features have been added to the API: asynchronous download of blocks, block range filtering for transaction history, support for bulk transaction, etc.

The code base of the API, called jmochimo, is undergoing a major refactoring that will allow faster block parsing. We are planning on publishing this code on GitHub in the coming weeks.

Exchanges

VinDAX exchange is in the process of listing Mochimo with ETH and BTC pairs. Trading is expected to go live in early 2020.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays !
