Artists of MODA: Tom Riddle

We’ve been working in the background for a few months on developing upcoming talent and giving them the tools to express their creativity. We’ve awarded standout creatives with a grant to fund a project they’d like to build and are investing time into their growth as they endeavor further into their careers.

Learn more about the artists venturing into the world of Music3, their journeys, stories, thoughts, and opinions. This is the Artist Grants Spotlight!

Today we meet Tom Riddle, an EDM producer, performer, and Web3 enthusiast who has firmly cemented his spot on Queensland’s list of emerging talents.

From a young age, Tom’s passions shone bright, landing festival plays at the ripe age of 16, warming the stage up for acts such as Martin Garrix, Will Sparks, and A$AP Rocky.

No stranger to hard work — Tom put out a string of club-ready heaters in 2020, keeping the fire burning wherever supporters chose to listen.

Tom’s sound palette is decorated with dark thumping bass line grooves, balanced with detailed highs and cutting synth textures, a lot to listen for as he carves out his signature style with each release.

Can you tell our followers and us how you first got into music?

I’ve always loved music from a young age; electronic music stood out the most. Once I realized I could make a living from it, I decided to take it full time and pursue it as a career.

How have you engaged with or explored blockchain tech and NFTs?

I first started with crypto in 2020 by learning about the tech behind NFTs and how it could make an artist’s and collector’s world so much better. I’ve released my music single “Shadows” through Opensea as an NFT and want to continue with NFT related projects for the next little while.

Are there any artists whose sounds have influenced you heavily?

Skrillex, Diplo, Justin Bieber, Deadmau5, and Chris Lake

What is your first step with the MODA artist grant?

Financing my continued music career (Web2 and Web3) and funding my upcoming NFT project “Nbiru.” I want to release a high-quality project and give collectors something unique to buy into.

What are your plans for the rest of 2022?

Keep pumping out music! Work on some NFTs, albums, new projects and give back to my community as much as possible.

Now that you’ve met Tom, we encourage you to get amongst his community and support him. You can find all of Tom’s important links here:
