V3RSE test event community notes

Members of the MODA community attended a live test event on August 7th at ‘V3RSE’ our new super-club inside decentraland. Here’s what we learned, and what is coming up next!

What is V3RSE

V3RSE is a MODA community-owned super-club in decentraland. The front room is intended to be used by the community for any event, while MODA artists and friends will use the main room for bigger shows every month. MODA DAO is built on a non-profit foundation structure, meaning that if you hold $MODA, you own part of V3RSE and can use your tokens for governance.

What have we built

2x large rooms (one single story, one 3 stories)
2x DJ booths
2x video visualizers
Beer garden on the roof in development
Spatial audio
High-end lighting
Integrated audio NFTs

The Test Event

For the test event, we invited the community to RSVP. From around 50 RSVPs, we had about 30 attendees in total. The event ran for 2 hours, with looping 30-minute sets in each room.

Changes

Changes/enhancements needed before the next event include:

Auto-dance zones (emotes) on the main dance-floors so that users don’t need to stay glued to their keyboards
Synced audio (this is already a known requirement)
Remove the beer pouring sound!
Custom emote investigation for DJs
One room only except for bigger shows
More Audio NFTs throughout
“Buy $MODA to join the DAO” call to action throughout
Obvious social links, including discord

What’s next

We’re planning our main launch party, expected in September or October. Look out for headline DJs that you recognize. We are also planning an event with mau5trap records.
