It feels like years since it’s been here
Here comes the sun
Here comes the sun
And I say, it’s all right

It has been a long, cold, though not so lonely, in Massachusetts. Everyone has been in the house with some illness or another, and it seems like years since we’ve seen the sun.
For most of the Winter, I felt like I was in a scene from Frozen — everything was covered in ice — the streets, sidewalks, and driveways, making the smallest of tasks, like getting the mail, seem like a perilous endeavor that required planning and strategy.
If hibernation was an option, it would have been one that I would gladly have taken.
Alas, it was not. My family decided to get a new puppy in December. I had intended to wait until the Spring, but when I saw a photo of him on the breeder’s website, I knew we couldn’t wait.
