There are countless articles and books on attraction. They might include what to say, how to act, and what to wear. And if you’ve tried them, you probably know they don’t work. And that’s because attraction goes much deeper than the superficial elements we’ve been led to believe.

I’m talking so deeply that you’re not even sure why you find someone so compelling. That’s because what you are attracted to isn’t controlled by your conscious mind. This desire to connect with a specific person lives in your unconscious.

However, you can bring the aspects of yourself to light, and this is work you‘ll want to do. As Swiss psychoanalyst Carl G. Jung has said, “‘Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”

Repeat dating disasters, anyone?

What I’m about to share with you is based on the work of Carl G. Jung. You might think of him as a leader in psychology. I think of him as a Western mystic and spiritual teacher. Many of his teachings align with Eastern philosophy and Gnostic Christianity.

We find individuals attractive because they embody aspects of our unconcious.
