The Cautionary Tale That Keeps Me Up at Night

My friend’s four-year-old son is probably dying. He’s spent the last six months in the hospital, gritting his still-baby-teeth through round after round of chemo. Sometimes, it looks like he’s getting better — and I pray he is like I’ve never prayed for anything — but this is the kind of cancer that dodges and feints, and almost always comes back.
