Modern Mothers Submission Guidelines

We’re accepting new writers

Modern Mothers is a boost nominating publication dedicated to exploring motherhood through articles, personal essays, and a bit of fiction.

We are looking for meaningful, high-quality articles that relate to motherhood. This means stories that engage our readers and follow Medium formatting guidelines.

To write for Modern Mothers:

1. You must be a member of Medium. If you aren’t signed up for membership, click here to join.
2. Follow Modern Mothers
3. Comment on this post indicating your desire to join Modern Mothers as a writer

After reviewing your profile, a reply to your comment will let you know if you’ve been accepted.

Once you’ve been added as a writer, please submit your stories (Draft only) and include:

1. A properly formatted title and headline
2. A properly credited open-source image
3. A properly formatted article
4. “Modern Mothers” as one of your tags
5. No AI (including AI generated images)
6. No affiliate links

We review submissions within 24 hours, weekends included.

If we like it, we’ll publish it. Please note that we may make edits for style or to correct spelling and grammar. If we’d like to make significant edits before publishing, we’ll add a private note to the story.
