With Gigi Rowe’s highly anticipated debut album, Laura, on the horizon — releasing August 26 — this pop artist is looking for the hit of the summer with “So Iconic”. Collaborating with TikTok star Claybaby, the duo revel in being the face of pop for the next generation in Madonna-esque style. The disco/dream pop style is a signature style for Rowe similar to other pop stars, such as Charlie XCX, that benefit from strong vocals and exhilarating synths.

“Lights, camera, action, vogue,” in Hollywood style is the forefront if the song that focuses on “keeping it cool” and having fun. If you’re looking to let loose and vibe with no thoughts, this is the song for you. This feels like the kind of song you’d play while at the swimming pool or just cruising with the windows down. However, don’t let the loose, addicting nature of this song dictate the way you perceive Rowe. She is multifaceted in her approach as seen in her other lead singles, “You, Me and the Stars” and “Borrowed Time”.

Each of these songs are much more intimate and showcase a more emotional Gigi Rowe than one might expect based on “So Iconic”. The ability to slow it down and wallow in emotion is the precedent in these songs of longing and love. Dreamy romanticism is a focus and feels like could ultimately be the theme of Gigi Rowe’s debut album, Laura. Speaking of the two singles featured in Amazon Prime’s new show, “The One That Got Away”, she says:

“They balance the themes of destiny and love on my upcoming
album Laura, taking the listener on a ride to the past while
daring to look to the future.”

The former Island Def Jam product is featured in Just Dance, is a children’s book author and podcast producer (“Gigi Rowe Wishes” and “Posy Flynn Sings!”, respectively). The multi-talented artist looks to leave a lasting impact in music by doing it her way — through emotional song writing and dreamy synth-pop. “So Iconic” is out now and can be found on all streaming platforms. Additionally, Gigi Rowe’s debut album, Laura, releases August 26.
