HEROES & VILLIANS by Metro Boomin.

Metro Boomin’s 2018 project NOT ALL HEROES WEAR CAPES had some of rap’s biggest names flowing over a variety of soulful,eerie and emotional beats. Since then, all the artists on it have gotten even bigger and Metro’s production credit list has grown too. His latest project, HEROES AND VILLAINS, the second installment in the trilogy, looks to continue the legacy he established. The promo for the project already set it apart from most producer-led projects as it has a short film that features a few artists that are on the project as well as appearances from LaKeith Stanfield and Morgan Freeman. The film, directed by Gibson Hazard, revolves around a theme of Metro being a superhero and consists of illustrated comic book panels, bold and colorful visuals and of course — a superhero suit transformation scene for Metro himself.

HEROES AND VILLAINS is a cinematic album. Morgan Freeman returns to narration duty like he had on Metro and 21 Savage’s collab album, Savage Mode II. A$AP Rocky also gets some narration in, bringing an iconic voice from a different generation to the mix.
