Kanye West Is Dropping a New Album?
It might be released this Friday
The internet is buzzing right now as news has surfaced that Kanye West is reportedly dropping a new album very soon, and by soon I mean by this Friday, the album being the long-awaited DONDA. Images and videos of Kanye previewing the album began to surface over the weekend, below you can catch Kanye (on the left dressed with a mask) sitting down with Kevin Durant and Justin Laboy listening to the album.
Video footage of a listening session among a crowd also features guest vocals from Baby Keem.
Other rumoured guest features include Travis Scott, Post Malone, Ty Dolla Sign, Playboi Carti and Future among others. Just today, Kanye announced a live listening session that will take place this Thursday in Atlanta, with tickets being sold to attend the event.
If you can recall, Kanye announced DONDA last summer, teasing the album with the single “Wash Us In The Blood”. It was expected to release last year around this time, but the album never manifested. This isn’t the first time Kanye’s announced a project, then scrapped it entirely, as was the fate of 2018’s YANDHI.
So who knows if this new album will really come out this week, or ever for that matter. Kanye is an enigmatic figure who does things in his own unique way, over the years he’s become an extremely controversial figure with his political takes and output of music, so we’ll have to wait and see if DONDA is the real deal.
