Step-Parenting and Depression
My step-daughter (16) has had a rough few months.
A little background: As early as age 5 she was taken to therapy for things like aggression and manic episodes. Her mom passed when she was 9, there is no dad in the picture. She and her sister (now 17) were given to her Aunt and Uncle. After Aunt and Uncle divorced, I started dating Uncle and shortly after she turned 15, she moved in with me and Uncle.
