Right, we’re having a slight shift in direction for this weekly post series. Starting today, all of the videos I suggest watching every Saturday will teach you something.

In the case of this week, it’s a bucket full of knowledge from the genius that is Simon Sinek, Casey Neistat showing us what a $21,000 airplane seat looks like, and the brilliant Nerdwriter analysing arguably one of the greatest TV episodes of all time: Breaking Bad’s Ozymandias (S5E14).

Oh and also, not every video will be from the past seven days. But most will be, and all will at least be recent (so, within the past 3–4 weeks).

Enjoy the videos!

Inside Quest — Simon Sinek on How to Get People to Follow You (1hr)

The one thing I am comfortable saying, that all effective leaders must have, is courage. Because it is hard. It is hard to stand up against outside pressure. It is hard to stand up to an external consituency who is pushing you to do something for their short term gain to do the right thing for your people. It is hard. It is thankless. It is lonely.

Casey Neistat — THE $21,000 FIRST CLASS AIRPLANE SEAT (9mins)

When I think of the greatest days in my entire life, I think of when my children were born. Or perhaps when my son graduated high school. Or today, when I was upgraded from Business to First on Emirates.

The Nerdwriter — Breaking Bad: An Episode Of Reactions (6mins)

What we see in [Ozymandias] is effectively the bloody end of Heisenberg’s reign. But what’s interesting is how not bloody it is. Walley-Beckett and Johnson place the focus instead on reactions — reaction shots. And so we get an episode of gazes: quizzical gazes, angry gazes, blank gazes, penetrating gazes.

Thanks for reading Chapter 132! Check out the previous few weeks of videos worth watching:
